
Ever since its original conception in 2005, youtube has flourished into a brilliant platform for people around the world to broadcast themselves. One question has been lingering in my mind; should youtube be censored?
Now, I do not mean censored in the traditional T.V or radio sense, but in the new media sense. Should haters and youtube hecklers be allowed to post videos? My belief is no. One of the greatest things about the internet is the free-form and lax atmosphere. If youtube were to be censored then all the haters would be suppressed therefore making way for the progressive people; however one must wonder if censorship would limit user’s creative expression. this issue has plagued traditional media, but would this happen virally? That I can not answer………
